How to edit a video from start to end
DaVinci Resolve is a powerful video editing software that offers a wide range of tools for creating professional-looking videos. Here’s a basic guide on how to edit a video from start to end.
1. Creating a Project
Click on New Project -> Enter Project Name -> Create
2. Import Your Footage
Go to File Menu(on the top of the software) -> Import -> Media (Windows+I) or click in Media Pool -> Import Media -> Drag and drop your video files from your drives into the Media Pool.
3. Create a Timeline
Right-click on the media pool area -> Timelines -> Create new timelines (windows+N) -> Give the details like timeline name, no. of video tracks, no, of audio tracks, audio track type etc., and Use project settings check box to tick ( i.e., project settings is similar to timeline settings) -> Create.
4. Import Clips into Timeline
Drag and drop files into Timeline from the media pool or edit in the View window then drag into Timeline.

Click and drag the edges of a clip to shorten or lengthen it.
